Snorkeling Packing List

Make sure you have everything you need when you join us for your Snorkeling adventure! Below is a list of what we recommend you pack to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

* IMPORTANT * Keep in mind when packing : space is limited on a sailboat, try to be as light as possible! 'City clothes' will not be needed. Please bring a duffel bag, no suit-case. Nice if everyone brings a little speciality from their region to share with the group!

Head

  • A couple of warm beanies
  • A scarf, "buff" type

Body

  • Wind-stopper jacket, Goretex type
  • Thermal under-wears, 1st and 2nd layers, preferably in wool
  • 2 or 3 shirts or thin sweaters
  • A very thick sweater, wool or fleece or down jacket
  • Spare under-wears

Legs

  • Wind-stopper pants, ski pants type
  • One thick hiking pant, elastic and breathable fabric
  • A comfortable jogging or indoor pants for the evenings
  • One pair of long-johns

Feet

  • A pair of warm woolen ski socks, plus 4 extra pairs of different thicknesses
  • A pair of winter boots or hiking shoes
  • A pair of "Crocs type" sandals to walk on the boat outside with your wetsuit, insulate you from the cold of the deck, but can be removed easily to go in the water quickly

Hands

  • Windproof thick mittens
  • Several sets of hand-warmers

Snorkeling equipment

  • A wetsuit (spearfishing / freediving) 7mm mini in 2 parts, pant + jacket, mandatory hood
  • Gloves 3 fingers, 5mm mini
  • Socks, 5mm mini
  • Fins that easily fits your socks (test before), short fins are easier to use on the dinghy
  • Belt, large enough to use more weights than usually (the weights will be provided on site)
  • Mask and snorkel, take a spare mask in case of loss or breakage
  • Windproof jacket to cut the wind and keep you warm, to use over your wetsuit while waiting
  • Dedicated beanie, different from the one you will use every day (this one can be wet)

Technical equipment

  • Binoculars
  • Duffel bag (no suit-case or backpack)
  • A 3 season sleeping bag
  • Toiletries (towel, small soap, toothpaste & toothbrush)
  • A mini-individual pharmacy with paracetamol, ear plugs, contact lenses, personal medicine, etc...
  • A pack of wet wipes
  • A headlamp
  • Energy bars
  • A waterproof plastic for ID / passport, insurance, money
  • Photo gear (Go-pro camera type or camera + box)
  • Power-bank to charge your electronic devices, no 220V onboard, only in the house
